The way this website has been set up may look kind of complex at first, but it's actually rather straightforward. Basically, the site can be divided into three parts, this is based on the user access level. In the next part (press read more) I'll explain the differences, based on these user access levels.
- Public access: basically anybody who just visits the site and therefore is not registered, or anybody who is registered but not (yet) logged in. People on the website based on public access level have limited possibilities. They can view news articles, without the content reserved for Fa Leith members, and they have read access to a part of the forum. Also they can view the contents of the shoutbox, but are not able to leave messages on it.
- Registered access: anybody who is registered on this site and is logged in has registered access. Now it is also possible to leave shouts in the shoutbox, to post messages in the forum and to use the private messaging system. Also the news archive is open to registered members, but still everything related to Fa Leith clan members (part of the forum & the Fa Leith news section) is off-limits.
- Fa Leith members access: the whole shebang, including submitting news for the frontpage yourself.
Note for Fa Leith members: after registration on the site you have to inform Gag (pm) yourself to have you added to the Fa Leith members group. More information about the registration proces can be found in [will follow later].
